Incoming Ph.D. Student
Department of Computing
Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University
Hello World...
I am Xiang Li, an incoming PhD student. I received my B.Sc. (Honors) from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in China & the University of Liverpool in the UK. My research interest lies in Human-Computer Interaction, at the intersection of Mixed Reality, Bodily Interfaces, and Computational Perception. I aim to focus my PhD studies on understanding the relationship between human bodies and the digital environment, and concurrently creating new systems that augment a wide range of perceptions to enable realistic and natural interactions. I believe these are crucial for the successful integration or even fusion of human-computer interaction.
I worked on my Bachelor Honors Dissertation at the X-CHI Lab, advised by Hai-Ning Liang, and previously worked with Wenge Xu. Besides, I have worked with Zendai Kashino, Shigeo Yoshida, and Masahiko Inami at the University of Tokyo, the Information Somatics Lab, Jan Gugenheimer and David Lindlbauer at the Institute Polytechnique de Paris (Télécom Paris) and Carnegie Mellon University, and Florian 'Floyd' Mueller at the Exertion Games Lab.
