Hello, my name is Xiang Li, a Year 3 student from the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool Univiersity in China. My major is Information and Computing Science (also with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool in the UK). I have been working in the [X-CHI Lab] of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool Univiersity as a research assistant under the supervision of the Head of our department Prof. Hai-Ning Liang and Dr. Wenge Xu since 2019 summer, with a focus on Virtual and Augmented Reality, Game Tech (Exergames) and Users’ Interaction Experience.
I also worked at the Exertion Games Lab of Monash University as a research assistant, lying primarily in the field of Leveraging Electrical Muscle Stimulation as an Embodied Memory Support Device. Prof. Florian ‘Floyd’ Mueller and Rakesh Patibanda (Ph.D.) are my advisors of this intern.
I served as a reviewer for IMWUT (Ubicomp 2020), ISMAR 2020, VRST 2020, CHI PLAY 2020, IEEE VR 2021 (& IEEE TVCG) and CHI 2021, and I got 2x Special Recognitions for Outstanding Reviews for ISMAR 2020.
Note: ACM CHI, IEEE VR, IEEE ISMAR, and ACM CHI PLAY are generally recognized as top-tier (CORE A/A*) conferences in my field of HCI and VR/AR.

3. Poster/Extended Abstract
My research interests include Human-Computer Interaction with subfields in Extended Reality (AR/VR/MR), Game Experience, and Responsive/Interactive Environments. My research focuses on the subjective reality of living in a responsive environment with extended reality devices. In addition, I am interested in analyzing user behavior from physical feedback, as well as subjective user perceptions through questionnaires and interviews. I conduct systematic research and analysis of user habits in real life and virtual and design corresponding software/games in real/augmented reality environments to provide and demonstrate the implications and applications of user-habit research, which I call “Habit-Computer Interaction”.
