Hello World...

I am Xiang Li, from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in China & the University of Liverpool in the UK. My research interest lies in Human-Computer Interaction, at the intersection of Mixed Reality, Bodily Interfaces, and Computational Perception. I aim to focus my graduate studies on understanding the relationship between human bodies and the digital environment, and concurrently creating new systems that augment a wide range of perceptions to enable realistic and natural interactions. These are crucial for the successful integration or even fusion of human-computer interaction.

Currently, I am working on my Bachelor Honors Dissertation at the X-CHI Lab, advised by Hai-Ning Liang, and previously worked with Wenge Xu. I am also working with Zendai Kashino, Shigeo Yoshida, and Masahiko Inami at the University of Tokyo, the Information Somatics Lab. I interned with Jan Gugenheimer and David Lindlbauer at the Institute Polytechnique de Paris (Télécom Paris) and Carnegie Mellon University HCII. Prior to it, I worked at the Exertion Games Lab from 2020 to 2021, advised by Florian 'Floyd' Mueller.

I am looking for an HCI PhD position in 2022 fall!
